Kalamazoo Interfaith Forum

Spiritual Enhancement and Peace is the motto of this Kalamazoo based group. Participants from various religious paths meet monthly to discuss topics of spiritual importance and concern in an open and friendly environment. Their vision is to create a community that is conducive to spiritual enhancement and peace.

The KIF meets on the second Sunday of each month. Recent topics have included Religion and State, Festivals: Holy Days and Holidays, and Religious Schisms. The group seeks to build relationships of understanding and respect between members of different faiths. This goal is clearly expressed in their Mission Statement, To bring people of different Faiths together for learning and mutual understanding by providing an equal and inclusive platform to discuss spiritual issues, inducing positive attitudinal changes in the general public toward spirituality, and being a channel of communication and action that influences spiritual enhancement and peace.

Participation in the Forum is open to members of all faiths, and KIF invites all interested persons to be a part of their discussions. Recent meetings have included Bahai, Buddhist, Christian and Sikh friends.
